Sled Suspension Raise

'opening of the municipal dog pound

Here we go again, it's been ten months and everything has remained as before. The municipal animal shelter has been completed for over a year but you do not understand why, has remained untapped.

Meanwhile, stray dogs, caught in the Municipality of Minto, are kept in a kennel in stratospheric contribution to the cost of over one hundred and forty thousand euro per year.

On 19 January, on this blog, I raised the problem (see post: "absurd extravagance: the pound dropped").

Today I consider it necessary to revisit the subject in the light of recent events in the news.

In recent days, in fact, the shelter that houses, handsomely rewarded, even "our" dog has been impounded for mistreatment of animals, violation of zoning regulations and building permit violations because some cages were made without consent building, public nuisance, irregularities in the discharge of waste water and emission of odors.

In essence, little more than five hundred feet square and fourteen boxes were "segregated", without even a small area by default and Sgambati, about seven hundred and fifty dogs including those from Minto.

will not go into the issue of abduction. Justice takes its course.

But I can, indeed must, highlight the intolerable slowness of the bureaucratic process is characterizing for the opening of the municipal dog pound.

is not acceptable to spend all these money when you have a shelter built according to the law by providing all the necessary comforts for our four-legged friends. The property also has a veterinarian clinic and could be improved by using, once reclaimed by the bulky waste buried there, the surrounding area, which is currently impounded, which is owned by the Municipality of Minto.

Every month that passes means a waste of public money from a long and painful imprisonment of so many creatures that could be treated better and more humane animal entrusting the structure of a group that over the years has demonstrated a real commitment those who, too often forget, are man's best friend.
